The Problem

What We Did

Phased transition to microservices, not a big-bang rewrite. Identified service boundaries based on actual business domains. Implemented event-driven architecture. Designed caching layer. Capacity planning for 10x growth. Each phase delivered value while maintaining business continuity.

The Outcome

System now handles 10x original volume. Response times improved 70%, from 3 seconds to under 1 second for key user actions. Architecture can support continued growth without major changes.
